Egg Donor Rights

What Are Your Legal Parental Rights or Obligations as a CCB Egg Donor?

Egg donors are under no financial or parental obligation to any offspring resulting from their donation.

  • California Cryobank (CCB) egg donors waive any and all parental rights and responsibilities, including any child support obligations, to any children conceived from donated eggs.
  • Both CCB and the egg donor acknowledge that there is no intent, desire, or expectation that the donor will be legally recognized or deemed to be a legal parent, or to have any legal, financial or other responsibilities to any offspring resulting from her donated eggs.

CCB will attempt to answer questions for the donor prior to signing the Contract Agreement; however, CCB cannot provide legal advice. For specific legal advice or concerns, potential donors should consult an experienced ART lawyer.
